Hypotensive Effect of Adenosine Diphosphoribose in the Rabbit

Abstract
|

|
Effect of adenosine diphosphoribose(ADPR), one of metabolites of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, on the rabbit blood-pressure was investigated.
ADPR(lQpg/kg) induced transient fall of the blood pressure. Increasing the doses, hypotensive response to ADPR was also increased. This vasodepressor effect of ADPR was not affected by hexamethonium, atropine, propranolol, methysergide and promethazine pretreatment.
